Nefretiti (and Moses?!?) on the Big Screen
Darlings, I’ve got some good news and some bad news. According to al Ahram, Hollywood is thinking about making a movie about Nefertiti. Hooray! And now the bad news . . . the script is based on Ahmed Osman’s Moses and Akhenaten. Osman is the same guy who claims that virtually every aspect of ancient Israelite culture came from Egypt, and elsewhere he defines Essenes as “followers of Jesus (Essa).” Geez Ahmed, thanks for clearing that up! He also buys into Freud’s old theories about Moses (that Moses and Akhenaten were the same guy/or at least knew each other), so we’ll have to suffer through another movie about Moses putting his religious calling above the lustful wants of some saucy vixon. It turns out Anne Baxter died in 1985, so who on earth will it be? Personally I vote for Lil Kim, but then again, I’m a camel.
