Where The Queen of Sheba Called Home
According to Professor Lynne Teather of the U of Toronto, my darlings, there is a shrine in Ike-Eri Nigeria that many locals claim is the burial site of the famous Queen of Sheba, who visited Solomon in Jerusalem according to 1 Kings 10. However, a Nigerian location seems quite unlikely to be historically accurate. Nobody can be certain at this time where Sheba was located, though the leading candidates are Ethiopia and Yemen. Archaeological investigations tend to support a Yemen location and are linked to the Sabaeans, although the dates are about a century or two late to be linked to Solomon’s time (10th century BCE). You can read more about Sheba and the Queen of Sheba on Wikipedia. By the way, the Queen of Sheba appears in BibleDudes here.
