Catholic Evolution is Like Evolving
So this dude named Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, the archbishop of Vienna, and buddy of Pope Benedict XVI, recently wrote in an op-ed for the NY Times things like “Evolution in the sense of common ancestry might be true, but evolution in the neo-Darwinian sense - an unguided, unplanned process of random variation and natural selection - is not.”You can read about Schönborn’s statement and the Catholic Church’s more narrowly defined stance on the issue of evolution here.
