In this strange article, Australian theologian, historian and newspaper columnist, R.P.BenDedek tries to use Australian legal methods to prove that the reconstruction of the history of Israel using historical and archaeological sources is all wrong. He examines the Battle of Qarqar and decides that the Kurkh Stele of Shalmaneser III isn’t accurate, and that Ahab wasn’t there after all.
