2006 Commandments
Thanks to ABC television, fifty years after the DeMille/Heston classic, viewers in North America tonight will be amazed and bedazzled (or disgusted) with a new version of The Ten Commandments (2006). I heard Omar Sharif plays Jethro, and ABC says the special effects are “renowned.” But keep in mind these are the same jokerswho brought us Noah’s Ark, remember that one? But they also did Lonesome Dove which was pretty cool. Part two is tomorrow night. For further info, the SF Chronicle has a summary of this project.
