The Bible and Africa
I just read about a new Bible Commentary produced by African Bible scholars that addresses contemporary issues such as slavery, AIDS, and female circumcision. Sounds cool.

It sounds interesting, but there’s no URL given for it. I’m an “inclusive” Episcopalian, which puts me on the other side from a lot of African Christians, but honest, I’m willing to listen. Still think that if you are going to insist on your own absolute adherence to scripture that you should own slaves, follow Kosher dietary laws, denounce salvation by grace and admit that you really don’t think you’re a Christian, you believe you’re a member of the Sanhedrin, but hey, I’m just some guy down in here in the pews.
